Terms of Service

1. The service

Synapse AI is an AI-assisted learning platform: you capture study material (notes, files, audio, videos) and the platform organises it, generates supporting content (summaries, podcasts, flashcards, mock exams), validates your mastery and schedules reviews.

AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is supporting material and does NOT replace official sources (exam programs, legislation, certification syllabi, approved study material). Verify critical information against the official source before an exam or decision. Synapse AI does not guarantee approval in any exam, certification or selection process.

2. Account

Sign-up is via Google or e-mail/password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You must be at least 18 or the minimum age of digital consent in your country.

3. Your content

Notes, files and other material you upload remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate the service — including sending excerpts to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to power the features you trigger.

You represent that you have the right to use the material you upload. Do not upload illegal content, content that infringes third-party copyright, or third-party personal data without a legal basis.

4. Acceptable use

You may not: use the platform for unlawful purposes; attempt to bypass usage limits or security mechanisms; reverse-engineer, scrape or abuse the service with automation; resell the service without authorisation; or use the AI features to generate illegal or harmful content.

5. Plans, payment and trial

New accounts get full Pro access for 30 days (reverse trial), no credit card required. Afterwards the account moves to the free plan, with limits, unless you subscribe to Pro.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as Merchant of Record. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. When you cancel, Pro access remains until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Dodo Payments' policy and applicable law.

6. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. Deletion permanently removes your data (see the Privacy Policy). If you have an active subscription, cancel it before deleting the account — account deletion does not automatically cancel billing at Dodo Payments.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where possible.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss caused by third parties, or exam and selection outcomes. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the platform or by e-mail with reasonable notice. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.
